Happy Five Years

“That is the true season of love; when we believe that we alone can love, that no one could ever have loved as much before, and that no one will ever love in the same way again.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

A little over two weeks ago, I became a mother to two children. A little over two years ago, I gave birth to my first daughter. Five years ago today, at 2:00 in the afternoon, I became a wife. For half a decade, my husband has been enriching my life with love, friendship, hilarity, and beautiful, beautiful babies. As a starry-eyed twentysomething, I never dreamed that life would be this good. As an even starrier-eyed thirtysomething, I know that it is just going to keep getting better, and much of that fact is owed to the amazing man that I share this life with.

I love you, honey. Happy, happy anniversary. I would I-thee-wed you a million and one times over.
