I am not, in fact, posting today from a maternity suite at Carolinas Medical Center. The youngest mademoiselle is still snug as a bug…I think she caught word of the recent earthquake and impending hurricane shenanigans and has decided to stay where it is safest – wombside.

I never thought I’d be 40+ weeks pregnant and doing yard work in the middle of a Carolina August, but I was out there for two hours this morning and it felt awesome. Slept really well the past two nights, too…come on baby!

Doc estimates a 7ish pound baby…Pumpkin was 8lb 14oz when she was born. Captain wants her to be bigger…I think he should deliver her then! 1cm and 50%! Progress!
My little angel is being very challenging today. Refusing a nap, being volatile. I’m so worried that I’m going to go into labor after a day like this, and my last day alone with her will have been spent being frustrated with her. Wonder if this will be our last weekend with only one child.
