Motherhood is…my youngest daughter screeching and dive-bombing my bosom with every ounce of her 20 pound little body, while tugging down the front of my dress, wanting to nurse in the middle of the aisle at Walmart. What’s your “motherhood is”?
Peanut up since 5:00 am…tried for almost an hour to get her back to sleep. Finally gave in and got up, made coffee (bless you, mom or dad for prepping the pot last night.) Sit down to rock and nurse (her on yours truly, me on my glorious coffee)… and she’s asleep within minutes. The… Read More Yawn.
We spent the day at Concord Mills mall, and I’ve never seen Pumpkin swing between being an absolute darling angel and a nightmare terrorist toddler. She is definitely almost three! When she has a full belly, Peanut frequently does this adorable little hiccuping giggle in her sleep, complete with a huge grin. I know she’s still too young to be smiling socially, but it is SO. DARN. CUTE. Two weeks old today!
Oversupply. I used to think that women who made too much breastmilk were so lucky. As I struggled a year ago to hang on to my nursing relationship with Pumpkin as she approached a year old, barely being able to pump four or five ounces a day, and barely able to interest her in a… Read More My milk runneth over.
I told Captain that I’d pumped 55 ounces of milk in the last four days, and he responded, “Whooooa! That’s like a Big Gulp!”
Pumpkin has fallen into a very regular routine of falling asleep at 8:00 pm, waking up around 11:00 pm, then again around 4:00 am. She is usually up for at least 30 minutes each time, and absolutely will not go back to sleep until she nurses or has a bottle. She is usually awake for… Read More A 10-month old thing.
