Day four of our 2007 Japan trip was another that was packed with lots of walking, walking, walking. We went to Nara, Ginkaku-ji, Kiyomizu-dera, and Gion, all in one day. Just thinking about it a decade later makes me tired! Nara Lunch! Ginkakuji Kiyomizudera Gion
On our third day of our first trip to Japan, we did the Arashiyama walking tour. We explored the Japanese countryside on foot, seeing the bamboo forest, lots of mossy-roofed houses, and beautiful nature. I loved the contrast between Tokyo and Kyoto. Arashiyama
