Peanut started standing on her own this week. She can only stay vertical for about 2-3 seconds before plopping on her butt, but it is impressive!
Peanut has been saying “dooey-dooey” a lot lately…it is so adorable. I wonder what it means.
Um. Wonderkid just pulled herself up on the bouncer right in front of me. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? She missed the memo that she’s only six months old. Slow down, Peanut.
And then all the sudden…our baby girl was sitting up all by herself. There are two little tooth nubbins poking out of her bottom gums, too.
In just five days time, Peanut is now fully mobile. She can sniper crawl and drag herself everywhere she wants to go. Crazy how much earlier than Pumpkin she’s accomplished this! And is it normal for her to be mobile before she can even sit up unassisted?
Peanut rolled from her back to her belly on her own this morning. I imagine her quoting Captain Mal Reynolds in her mind…”I aim to misbehave.“ So it begins.
Pumpkin is officially walking, slowly, but confidently. She is also waving at everything in sight and saying “Hieee” in her sweet voice; from people, to dogs, to inanimate objects. It broke my heart the other day at the grocery…she would wave and say “Hi” to people as they walked away from her, and they wouldn’t… Read More Hiee!
Two days after she turns eight months old, my little girl is pulling herself to standing position on any furniture she can.
Operation baby-proof is underway! Pumpkin is officially fully mobile, and getting her hands on anything she can reach, including photo frames, daddy’s books, dog toys, and scented pinecones. She’s still slow right now, but I give her a week before she is crawling fast!
Pumpkin truly laughed for the first time yesterday, a belly-shaking laugh with little squeals tossed in for good measure. We were sitting on the couch with the two dogs, and she was just so tickled by them. They were just looking at her, and she was having a ball!
